Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern headline a packed European weekend

Premier League

Arsenal host Leeds in the Premier League on Saturday 10 October 2026. The early kick-off gives the Gunners a chance to set the tone before their rivals play later in the day. Four Premier League matches are scheduled for Saturday 10 October 2026: Aston Villa vs Brentford, Chelsea vs Bournemouth, Ipswich vs Fulham, and Sunderland vs Brighton. Manchester United vs Tottenham is also among the Premier League fixtures on Saturday 10 October 2026.

La Liga

Spain gets going on Friday night with Málaga vs Espanyol at 21:00, before Saturday brings a full slate. Rayo Vallecano vs Athletic Club (14:00) and Alavés vs Atlético Madrid (16:15) bookend the afternoon, but all eyes will eventually turn to the evening's showpiece: Real Madrid vs Villarreal at 21:00. Real Madrid vs Villarreal is arguably the standout match of Saturday's slate, with Barcelona vs Getafe also on the same evening. Earlier at 18:30, Barcelona vs Getafe is also scheduled for Saturday evening.

Bundesliga

Germany opens proceedings on Friday when Borussia Dortmund face Werder Bremen at 20:30. Saturday’s 15:30 slot is the traditional Bundesliga mass kick-off, featuring five simultaneous games: Hoffenheim vs Hamburger SV, Augsburg vs Bayern München, Mainz vs Bayer Leverkusen, Union Berlin vs Elversberg, and Paderborn vs Stuttgart. Augsburg vs Bayern stands out from that group — Bayern are rarely given an easy afternoon against a side with nothing to lose. The day closes with RB Leipzig vs Eintracht Frankfurt at 18:30, a clash between two clubs consistently among the division’s most ambitious.

Serie A

Italy has three fixtures across Saturday. Genoa vs Fiorentina kicks off at 15:00, followed by the high-profile Inter vs Parma at 18:00 — Inter will be expected to impose themselves, and anything other than a comfortable evening would raise eyebrows. Napoli vs Frosinone rounds off Italy’s weekend at 20:45.

Ligue 1

France begins Friday with Lens vs Lyon, the only Ligue 1 fixture on that day.
