Ligue 1
The story of this summer window is almost entirely written in Marseille ink. After recalling a clutch of loanees at the end of June — including Traoré (Bournemouth), Amine Harit (Başakşehir), Meité (Lorient), Faris Moumbagna (Cremonese), Neal Maupay (Sevilla), and Ulisses Garcia (Sassuolo) — the club simultaneously brought in permanent additions in Facundo Medina from Lens and Timothy Weah from Juventus, both on 30 June. The pattern is clear: consolidate, then cut.
The cutting has been swift. Mason Greenwood departed for Fenerbahçe on a permanent transfer (confirmed across 12–13 July), while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left for Deportivo La Coruña, also on a permanent basis (15–16 July). Traoré, who had only just returned permanently from Bournemouth, was shipped out on loan to Genoa on 16 July — a rapid turnaround that speaks to the complexity of Marseille’s squad management this summer. Rony Baheng, who had returned from Aubagne, was sold to PAU on 7 July. Most recently, Bilal Nadir departed as a free agent to join Hamburger SV, confirmed around 22–23 July. The sheer volume of outbound activity suggests Marseille are aggressively trimming their wage bill while attempting to reshape the squad around their new permanent signings.
Bundesliga
Hamburger SV are the German representatives in this window, picking up Bilal Nadir on a free transfer from Marseille. With no fee involved, it is a low-risk addition for the Hamburg side, who will be hoping Bilal Nadir can bring Ligue 1 experience to their ranks.
Serie A
Genoa take Traoré on loan from Marseille, a move that adds attacking width to their options without a permanent commitment. Inter meanwhile saw Benjamin Pavard return from his loan spell at Marseille.
La Liga
Deportivo La Coruña complete the transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Marseille. The move represents a notable acquisition for Deportivo, and draws a line under Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's time at Marseille.
Süper Lig
Fenerbahçe secure Mason Greenwood from Marseille on a permanent transfer, confirmed across 12–13 July. It is one of the more eye-catching moves in this round of business, adding a recognisable name to an already ambitious squad.
