Five Confirmed Transfers Reshape Tottenham's Squad Ahead of the New Season

The summer’s most eye-catching confirmed move belongs to Sandro Tonali, who has completed a transfer from Newcastle to Tottenham. The Italian midfielder’s arrival at Spurs signals genuine ambition from the north London club, who have simultaneously brought in Mateus Fernandes from West Ham on a permanent deal. Add in the free-agent acquisitions of defender Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth), goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka (Burnley), and experienced left-back Andrew Robertson (Liverpool), and Tottenham’s business this summer reads as a broad, purposeful rebuild across multiple positions — defence, midfield, and the goalkeeper slot all reinforced without necessarily paying headline fees in every case.

The other side of Spurs’ ledger is equally telling. The club have moved on a significant number of fringe and younger players. Luka Vušković has joined Brighton on a permanent transfer, while W. Lankshear has moved to Middlesbrough. Archie Devine has departed for Preston on a permanent basis. On loan, Radu Drăgușin has headed to Fiorentina and Y. Akhamrich to Leyton Orient.
